The art work on this site is pretty simple -- no political or metaphysical content at all -- I am a painter of my life. I love to paint, I have a studio and supplies and time -- I paint. I get up in the morning eat breakfast and to work -- if I’m lucky. If I’m not lucky, I have to do dishes or run errands.

Jim and Ginnie Street are Field Coordinators (Missionaries) with Missionary Ventures International and are training to serve in Latin America. They both had successful careers with the Navy - careers which led them around the world and introduced them to other people and cultures. Throughout the years, their hearts have grown for missions work and they have jumped at every chance that they had to serve on short-term mission teams, first in the States, and eventually outside the US. Jim is also an artist who was initially self-taught, but he also took advantage of an oppportunity to attend art school at the University of Florida after finishing his military career. They are currently enrolled at the Instituto de Lengua Española (Spanish Language Institute) in San José, Costa Rica.

I started out as writer and artist and morphed into artist and writer, with the one passion influencing and infusing the other. I look at life metaphorically, an approach as relevant to my painting as it has been to my writing. Often a painting and its title will each have something to contribute to, reflect upon, or say about the other.

The beauty of nature and wildlife has always been a major influence in Sally’s life. She grew up in the S.C. low country; where fishing, hunting, and walks in the wild were almost daily activities. Living just outside of Charleston gave her a love of history, antiquities, and architecture as well.

Elinor Sethman began her career at San Diego State University with a focus on fashion illustration. Years later, after raising four beautiful children, her creative needs were met by returning to painting where the use of watercolor with colored pencil best executed her visions. Design, pattern, and fine detail are never found lacking in these exciting works. At present, her attention ranges from highly successful miniatures to much larger pieces. No matter what the size of her paintings, the attention to detail is always flawlessly executed.

I am a self-taught watercolorist from Greenville. I've wanted to be an artist for as long as I can remember, but waited until middle age to finally do something about it. It's funny how we keep putting off the little things (like dreams) and then wondering why we never managed to accomplish anything we really wanted.
